The Forepaws Company – Terms of Service

These terms apply to purchases from The Forepaws Company at https://theforepawscompany.co.uk. Please read them before placing an order. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

  1. About us
    The Forepaws Company is a UK-based business selling dog accessories, dog-lover gifts and personalised products. We are operated by a sole trader. For enquiries, contact theforepawscompany@gmail.com. Our required business and contact details are provided in our Contact Information policy.

  2. Products and descriptions
    We aim to describe our products accurately. Colours may vary slightly between screens and printed products. Please check product dimensions, materials, suitability and care instructions before ordering. Dog toys should be selected according to your dog’s size and chewing habits and used under supervision. No toy is indestructible. Remove damaged toys from use. This does not limit your rights if goods are faulty or not as described.

  3. Prices and payment
    Prices are displayed in GBP. Applicable taxes and delivery charges are shown before you complete checkout. We reserve the right to correct obvious pricing or listing errors before accepting an order. If an error affects an order already placed, we will contact you and offer the appropriate options, including a refund where applicable. Payment is processed through the payment methods available at checkout.

  4. Orders
    After placing an order, you will receive an order confirmation. We may contact you if additional information is required, an item is unavailable or there is a problem fulfilling your order. If we cannot fulfil an order, we will offer an appropriate alternative or refund. We will not substitute a materially different product without your agreement.

  5. Personalised products
    Please check all names, dates, spelling and other personalisation details carefully. We will produce personalised products using the information you provide. If you notice an error, contact us as soon as possible. We will try to accommodate changes, but this may not be possible once production has begun. Your statutory rights remain unaffected where an item is faulty, incorrect due to our error or not as described.

  6. Delivery
    We use third-party suppliers and fulfilment partners, including print-on-demand and dropshipping services. Products may be dispatched separately and arrive at different times. Delivery charges and estimates are provided at checkout and in our Shipping Policy. Estimates are not guaranteed delivery dates unless expressly stated. We remain responsible for ensuring your order is delivered in accordance with applicable consumer law. Please contact us if an order is delayed, lost or damaged in transit.

  7. Cancellations, returns and refunds
    Your cancellation and return rights are explained in our Return and Refund Policy. Most non-personalised goods purchased online can be cancelled within 14 days of receipt, subject to applicable legal exceptions. Clearly personalised goods may be exempt from the change-of-mind cancellation right. Non-personalised print-on-demand goods are not automatically exempt simply because they are produced after ordering. Nothing in our policies excludes or restricts your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable consumer legislation.

  8. Intellectual property
    The Forepaws Company name, original designs, artwork, photographs and website content are owned by us or used with permission, unless otherwise stated. You may not reproduce or commercially use our original content without permission. This does not restrict any rights you may have under applicable law.

  9. Website use
    You agree not to misuse the website, interfere with its security or use it for unlawful purposes. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the website, customers or our business. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the website.

  10. Liability
    We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights. We are responsible for foreseeable loss and damage caused by our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill, subject to applicable law. We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable or for business losses arising from purchases made as a consumer, except where the law requires otherwise.

  11. Privacy
    We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Payment information is handled by the payment providers available through checkout. Please review our Privacy Policy for further information.

  12. Changes to these terms
    We may update these terms from time to time. The terms applicable to your purchase will generally be those in force when your order is placed, unless a change is required by law or you agree otherwise.

  13. Governing law
    These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you retain any mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings available under applicable law.
